Today, I want to showcase a titanium-made Panerai replica, the PAM 351, produced by the VS Factory in its latest V2 edition. Among the various Swiss brands I’ve reviewed, Panerai and IWC stand out as my top favorites. However, since 2019, there haven’t been many new models released from these brands, and a lot of the Panerai reviews on my blog have been updated several times. This new release is a refreshing addition.
The case of the PAM 351 is crafted from titanium, which, in my opinion, gives it a distinct advantage over the stainless steel versions of Panerai watches. The case retains the classic cushion shape and includes Panerai’s signature crown bridge. It measures 44mm in diameter, with a thickness of 18mm. While I haven’t compared it to the genuine version, I feel this replica watches is thicker than the real PAM 351. The reason is the movement: the replica watch uses a clone of the P.9000, though it’s based on the Asian Valjoux 7750 chronograph movement, which is inherently thicker than the Panerai P.9000.
The dial of the PAM 351 isn’t black; it actually has a tobacco brown hue with a slight greyish tint. Like the original, this replica features a sandwiched dial, and the hour markers are skeletonized, making them large and easy to read. The small seconds hand sits in a subdial at 9 o’clock, while the hour and minute hands are both edged in gold, with Swiss lume applied to the centers. The simplicity of the dial mirrors the overall understated elegance of the watch.
Another highlight of the PAM 351 is the brown leather strap, which complements the tobacco brown dial beautifully compared to a black strap. Similar to the PAM 312 I reviewed in a previous post, this model also uses a brushed Pre-V buckle. The strap is crafted from high-quality leather with croc-embossed patterns, offering a soft and comfortable feel when worn.
